I am NOT a poetry girl.

And I can finally admit that freely. I'm not. I grabbed a book of American Poetry yesterday ( my kid checked it out from the library and it got swallowed up in my house... I paid $35 for it about 2 years ago... I found it in the basement whilst chucking around C'mas stuff and thought since I owned it I'd better read it.) Yeah. Not so much. Does this make me a lesser person? Does it make me a dumbass? Does it make me shallow? Whatever. I am what I am. Maybe it was the wrong kind of poetry for me. I dunno. But I feel somewhat liberated to have admitted that out loud. Or... erm... in type. Or whatever.

And for the record, I have pretty much reached my limit of togetherness. I'm ready for everyone to go back where they belong now and leave me to my routine. It has been a very lovely month... oh.... wait... it's only been a week. Right. Well then. Yes. Nice. Lovely. Run along now. ALL OF YOU!

So... back to the poetry thing. I have friends ( and you know who you are...) who's every word is like poetry. Even their every day writing is poetry. It's a joy to read their entries. So, in that respect, I guess I AM a poetry girl. I certainly appreciate the beauty of emotions poured out in words. HEY... I AM deep!!!! YAY ME!

My friend is getting married this summer. In oHIo. I get to go... I hope. I think. I do, don't I? Hmmm... might actually wear a bridesmaid dress for this particular friend. Even a teal one with ruffles. ( Knowing I'm fairly safe here btw. Ruffles and teal are most certainly NOT her taste, and I'm thinking there might not be any bridesmaids or maybe just one.) I'm excited nonetheless!!! WOOOT! AWEDDING! Wondering if she's thought of when this summer. Hmmm?

So many trips ahead of me. Glad I got luggage from Santa this year. It'll be put to good use.
